Born to a Danish visual artist mother and a Mexican-American circus clown father, it seemed inevitable that Ian Isak would follow a creative path.
As a film director, Ian Isak is driven by a commitment to storytelling with a distinct visual identity. His work is dynamic, ranging from energetic to lighthearted to deeply emotional and always rooted in authenticity and centered on engaging, real characters.
Ian Isak’s talent has earned him recognition from some of the industry’s most prestigious platforms, including Clio, Berlin Commercial, Epica Awards, Eurobest, Cannes Lions, Shots Awards, LIA, YDA, and Vimeo Staff Pick, among others. Recently Ian Isak was awarded Best Director at The True Award 2025. An award he also recieved in 2022.
